Hisar, Oct 5 (UNI) Congress MP from Sirsa, Kumari Sailja, said on Saturday that no Chief Ministerial face was announced by the Congress in the Haryana Assembly election as it was in the Opposition, reiterating that the next head of the government would be picked by the Congress high command after consulting newly-elected MLAs.

Speaking to media after casting her vote, she said that for the BJP it was natural to have a CM face as it was the ruling party.

Notably, the Congress has not declared its CM face, however, leader of opposition in Haryana and former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda is said to be posturing to project himself as the "Undeclared CM face", a strategy that has not gone down well with other Congress aspirants, including Selja, for the top post.

Replying to a question regarding Manohar Lal Khattar's invitation to join his party, Selja said that instead of worrying about her the BJP should keep its house in order.

Interestingly, she also sought to downplay Ashok Tanwar's last-minute return to the Congress from BJP a couple of days back, saying "People come and go, it was no big deal."

Both Tanwar and Selja have been Congress Haryana unit presidents and were pitted against each other in Lok Sabha elections from Sirsa seat, Tanwar being the losing BJP candidate.
